A 2 question survey that could help you do better
Hello, busy bee 🐝
Subscriber comes and goes! That’s the hard truth of your life being a newsletter operator. Most of you do the best to know why they come by adding a subscriber survey, BUT most of you don’t check on why they are leaving you!
Resource Context
beehiiv offers a great inbuilt solution called Survey. However, that’s not available to free (launch plan) users.
I am going to give you a template that you can use to create an unsubscribe survey, which can help you know better and use that feedback to grow better.
Unsubscribe Survey
Title: Sorry to see you go!
Description: Please fill out this short survey to let us know why you decided to part ways.
Question 1:
Prompt: Can you tell me why you're leaving?
Type: Multiple Choice
Allow Multiple Responses? Enable
Options:
This content isn't relevant/interesting to me
I get too many emails from you
I don't recall signing up for this newsletter
I'm worried you're sharing my information
I'm doing an inbox clean-out
It's something else
Question 2:
Prompt: Additional feedback you like to provide?
Type: Long Response
Show Max Characters: Enable

If you are satisfied with your survey, publish the survey.
Once published, click the 3 dots menu and Enable as Unsubscribe Survey.
BTW, I do have the unsubscribe survey for this newsletter, but don’t you dare to unsubscribe and test it real time. I mean it 😛 🤷🏽♂️ Don’t make me angry 🐝.
